Bravura has been named Large Employer of the Year at FT Adviser’s Diversity in Finance Awards – the publication’s annual celebration of diversity, inclusion and equality in the financial services sector.

Bravura secured the win for its Diversity & Inclusiveness (D&I) programme, which launched in 2020 and aims to raise awareness around a range of issues, as well as help to create a supportive environment for its employees through various initiatives and events.

Nigel Liddell, General Counsel and Founder of Bravura’s D&I programme, said: “As a truly global company with more than 1,500 employees with more than 30 different races and ethnicities, boosting diversity and inclusiveness is a key goal for us. Not only does it help to attract the very best talent, but it ensures we are providing a supportive and caring environment for all our staff.

“Having only launched our D&I programme just before the start of the pandemic, it’s been amazing to see the initiative really take off across our global group of companies and offices. Thanks to all our brilliant D&I leaders and volunteers, who all give up their time to support and drive forward the initiative, as well as to all our partners who have provided us with expert guidance as we navigate through our journey to becoming a more diverse, open and inclusive employer.

“We’re only at the start of our journey, but securing this award is a brilliant validation of the team’s work – particularly when you see the brilliant companies we were up against in the category, all of whom do amazing work in this area, too.”

Bravura’s D&I programme is split into six key pillars, with each pillar having its own leader to drive engagement and awareness across the company’s 16 offices across the globe. These cover Gender (including Menopause and Andropause sub-working group), LBGT+ (bYou), Neurodiversity, Social Mobility, Race & Ethnicity (bRED), Disability (bEnabled), as well as its employee mental wellbeing initiative, bWell, acting as an overarching support.

The win tops off a memorable week for Bravura Group, with its pensions dashboards ISP, Dashboards Connect, winning the Best Product/Service category at Citywealth’s Brand Management & Reputation Awards on Tuesday (20 June) evening. Its affiliates Delta Financial Systems and FinoComp also secured gold at Goodacre’s Systems in the City Awards 2023 for Best Pensions Administration Technology and Best Performance Measurement System, respectively.
