Bravura Solutions Limited (ASX:BVS) (Bravura): the leading financial software solutions company, has been awarded the ‘Thrive at Work’ “Committed” level from the City Mental Health Alliance’s (CHMA) annual Thriving at Work Assessment. This accreditation is in recognition of innovative initiatives in place to support and help improve the health and wellbeing of employees throughout the business. The score is based on a series of Standards, sitting above three key pillars of “culture of well-being and psychological safety”, “working environment” and “tools, resources and support.” Together they form part of the annual “Thriving at Work” assessment which benchmarks progress in developing mentally healthy workplaces on an annual basis.
The CMHA’s annual Thriving at Work assessment helps organisations to measure their progress as they work to build mentally healthy workplaces. It is founded on the evidence-based standards set out in the CMHA’s Thriving at Work Guide for organisations to focus on with the aim of developing their mental health and wellbeing strategies. Bravura has been collaborating with CMHA since February 2022 as part of its bWell programme. bWell is an initiative underpinning Bravura’s D&I strategy and its vision is to create a culture free from stigma where our people feel that they can openly discuss mental health, know where to access support and how to support others around them – not just in times of need, but to proactively build an open and positive mental health environment.
The assessment highlights the availability of easily accessible resources to support Bravura employees in promoting positive wellbeing. Mentoring and coaching were also noted to be in place, as well as the provision of confidential support, which is also accessible to family members. While progress has been made, there is a lot more to be done to achieve our objectives. Working with CMHA to create and implement a robust mental health strategy is a fundamental part of this journey.
Megan Owen, Global Chief Operating Officer at Bravura said: “Mental Health Awareness Week is a great opportunity to shine a spotlight on what is undoubtedly one of the most pertinent, but often under-reported issues facing society today. With poor mental health affecting a significant proportion of us, exacerbated by the unprecedented events of the past two years, it is not something that anyone can choose to ignore. At Bravura we are absolutely and one hundred per cent committed to supporting the wellbeing and mental health of our staff, and are pleased to receive this independent accreditation as a standard of good practice and a quality mark of health and wellbeing at work.”
Alison Unsted, CEO and Global Strategy Director of CMHA UK City Mental Health Alliance UK says:
“The CMHA Thriving at Work Assessment drives an ambitious set of actions for employers to innovate and lead the way in creating mentally healthy workplaces. Committing to the CMHA Thriving at Work Standards is a great achievement and demonstrates an organisation is taking responsibility for creating mentally healthy environments where people can flourish. This accreditation reflects all the work done that Bravura is doing to protect, support and create positive mental health for their people.”
