Bravura Solutions Pty Limited (Bravura) has won the prestigious ‘Best Use of Platform Technology’ accolade at this year’s Aberdeen UK Platform Awards. The win recognises Bravura’s Sonata platform technology and the work that has gone into its deployment at Nucleus, one of the UK’s fastest growing investment platforms.

“The judges were looking for a game-changing proposition. Bravura and Nucleus have delivered the first major platform refit with a brand new technology ‘engine’,” said Clive Waller, Managing Director of the UK Platform Awards. “This has enabled increased efficiency, workflow management and a far better user experience – especially for the commonly ignored administrators.”

Bravura has powered the Nucleus platform since 2006. This significant migration from heritage software to Sonata has delivered increased flexibility and a scalable platform for future growth.

“The development we have undertaken in our modern Sonata software demonstrates a technological leap which we are yet to see from other providers,” said Bravura’s Chief Executive Officer, Tony Klim. “This win acknowledges the dedication and significant investment involved in evolving Sonata into the next-generation solution it is today. It’s a tremendous endorsement for what we have achieved in partnership with Nucleus and Citi, our administration partner.”

Nucleus Founder and CEO David Ferguson added: “Our decision to embrace Sonata as the core technology of the Nucleus wrap was an important and pioneering move. Being the first UK platform to be operating on next generation technology means we now have the development approach, the responsiveness, the resilience and the scalability we need to confidently accelerate our growth.

“We are very excited about our medium and long-term trajectory and look forward to continuing our successful partnership with Bravura along our journey,” Ferguson said.

The industry is increasingly turning to technology as an enabler of business growth and simplification. Sonata’s rich functionality and modern technology is ideally suited to meeting these challenges, now and into the future.
