Next generation technology to deliver operational efficiencies and secure, personalised digital interfaces for members

Bravura Solutions Pty Limited (Bravura) is pleased to announce that LGIAsuper – which serves almost 90,000 current and former Queensland local government employees and their spouses – has selected Bravura’s Sonata solution as its new superannuation administration platform for both defined contribution and defined benefit plans.

Having delivered trusted superannuation, investment advice and insurance to members for more than 50 years, LGIAsuper has recently embarked on a new phase of innovation and growth.

LGIAsuper Chief Executive Officer, David Todd, said: “We chose Sonata to underpin our growth strategy because it will enable us to deliver improved services to our members and employers in a number of vital ways. Firstly, Sonata’s comprehensive functionality will enable us to consolidate and simplify administration of all our product types using a single system. Secondly, Sonata will enable us to achieve strong operational efficiencies as we leverage its straight-through processing and workflow features. Finally, Sonata will help facilitate the engaging web and mobile experiences our members have come to expect in this digital age.”

LGIAsuper recently established a dedicated digital technology team to drive delivery of new, real-time web and mobile offerings. Sonata has the right features and architecture to support the fund’s digital strategy, ensuring online interactions are immediate, seamless and secure.

In addition, LGIAsuper will now gain increased value from its earlier investment in Babel, Bravura’s messaging product for SuperStream, as Babel together with Sonata provides a complete, automated, end-to-end SuperStream compliance solution.

“LGIAsuper has enjoyed a deep and longstanding relationship with Bravura Solutions over the past 25 years,” said Mr Todd. “The trust and mutual respect established between our two organisations gave us the confidence to decide to consolidate and modernise our core administration platforms using Sonata.”

Bravura Solutions Managing Director APAC, Roland Slee added: “We are excited to partner with LGIAsuper on this key modernisation program. In particular, we look forward to LGIAsuper using Sonata’s modern, open interfaces to provide its members and employers with state-of-the-art digital experiences.”

The LGIAsuper Sonata implementation project will commence in 2016.
