11 September 2007 Bravura Solutions selects EDS to provide IT infrastructure and support services
Sydney, 11 September 2007 (ASX: BVA) – Bravura Solutions Limited (Bravura) – a leading global supplier of wealth management applications and professional services – today announced a £13.7 million (approximately A$33.7 million), five and a half-year IT outsourcing deal with global technology services company EDS.
The contract will see Bravura outsource its UK IT infrastructure to EDS, using their data centres within the UK. EDS will also provide on-site and off-site desktop and laptop support, and helpdesk services for almost 300 UK-based Bravura employees.
Bravura will apply a globally defined, consistent set of tools and processes to the management of its IT infrastructure. The processes will maximise operational efficiency, mitigate risk and allow for a more flexible IT environment.
“EDS’ global knowledge and application of best practice will provide us with a reliable IT environment, and play a critical role in supporting our customers and our business as we expand in the UK and Europe,” said Andy Chesterton, Chief Operating Officer for Bravura Solutions (EMEA).
“This deal represents significant IT cost savings for us over the term of the contract,” he added.
Jonathan Charley, vice president, banking, EDS UK said: “We are proud to have been selected by Bravura to manage their IT infrastructure. This agreement will deliver more efficient and productive processes, lower costs, and ultimately allow Bravura to focus on its core business.”
